Olly Murs set for X Factor return as Gary Barlow's guest judge

Olly Murs has confirmed that he will return to this year's X Factor as a guest judge. The 29-year-old took to Twitter to announce he will join Gary Barlow, who is mentoring the groups, in New York to decide who will make the live shows. Murs tweeted: "Hey all, so there have been loads of rumors about it & I can confirm that YES I'll be @GaryBarlow's Guest Judge on this year's @TheXFactor." The Dear Darling singer is no stranger to this stage of the competition, having visited Simon Cowell's home in Los Angeles as a contestant, before going on to finish runner-up to Joe McElderry in 2009. Murs stood down from his role as co-presenter of the Xtra Factor earlier this year to focus on his solo career and was replaced by Matt Richardson. Elsewhere, Nicole Scherzinger recently announced her close friend Mary J. Blige would be joining her in Antigua for the judges' house round. Fellow judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh are yet to reveal whose help they will be enlisting to make their biggest decision of the series so far.
